Iowa Shows

The Iowa Arabian Horse Association (IA-AHA) offers a variety of shows ranging from fun shows to the more formalized Class A and B shows.  Whether you choose to participate in one, a few, all, or none, come out and see what it's all about.

Participation in these shows and club membership enters you in the club high point program. 

Class A & B Shows

The IA-AHA sponsors three Class A/B shows each year:

• IA-AHA Spring Show (Class "A" show | NSH classes are "B" rated) - Contact: Marcia Treinen
• IA-AHA Memorial Day Show (Class A & B) - Contact: Rick and Dawn Ackerson
• Fall Classic Show (Class A - Labor Day weekend)
  

All points awarded at the shows will automatically apply to members' high point standings.

Fun Shows

The IA-AHA sponsors three fun shows each year:

All points awarded at the shows will automatically apply to members' high point standings.

Futurity

The IA-AHA sponsors one futurity and auction each year:

• Iowa Gold Star

High Point Program

The Iowa High Point program is a free to all member of the IA-AHA.  The program offers more than 30 classes covering both recognized and non-recognized (fun) shows.  Points from all IA-AHA sponsored show are tabulated for each member making this a true association high point. 

• 2011 High Point Standing (Recorded before the Gold Star and Fall Classic horse show)
  

Exceptions

Exception for automatic tabulation are:

• Open recognized division that counts All Class "A" shows held outside of Iowa.  This includes, but not limited to Regionals and Nationals.
• Hunter, jumper, sport horse and dressage horse classes #34 - 39. Since IA-AHA club does not offer these classes we accept results from all show.

Exhibitors participating in these classes/divisions are responsible for reporting the results to the club high point chairman and recording secretary.

Class Sponsorship

What does it mean to "sponsor a class?"  That's easy, all it takes is $25 and your name or company name is listed:

• On the website
• In the Record (the Iowa Arabian Horse Association directory)
• On the show standings posted at the shows
• On the high point trophy for the sponsored class
