Scholarship Program

There are many different scholarship opportunities offered at the club, region, and national level to all members.  

Iowa Arabian Horse Association Scholarship (club level)


Each year the Iowa Arabian Horse Association (IaAHA) offers club level scholarship opportunities for graduating high school seniors and continuing education members. Scholarship recipients are announced each year at the Iowa AHA Fall Classic Show.  

This year IaAHA will be awarding first place winners:
  • Graduating Senior - $750.00
  • Continuing Education - $750.00 

Scholarship Requirements:

High school graduating senior:
  • Student (any age) must have graduated from high school in the current year of the application.
  • Must be a member of the Iowa Arabian Horse Association in good standing.

Continuing education student:
  • Student (any age) must be working towards a degree from a two-year or four-year institution.
  • Must be a member of the Iowa Arabian Horse Association in good standing.

Applications
Please follow the directions on the applications above.

Essay Topic
As part of the application, please write a 500-1000 word essay using the topic listed on the scholarship page of the club website. You may include original artwork, drawings, photography, poetry, etc. to enhance the presentation. The essay will be critiqued on the following: essay content (50%), creativity (25%), and grammar/mechanics (25%).
